The Virtual Workstation enables remote and offline development on RI Cassini Systems utilizing a hardware "simulator" emulate the TIMs installed in a Cassini. A dedicated Guru Server is used to simplify the deployment, maintenance, and use of RI Cassini Systems by providing a central repository for disaster recovery, backup files, new test plans, system calibration information, software updates and more.

The Virtual Workstation requires a network connection (NAT) to the Guru Server via TCP port 50000 as well as access to a NTP host (network time protocol, UDP 123) to maintain time accuracy. The clients could use a hostname (i.e. guru.customer.com) or a Static IP (10.10.5.12) to connect to local Guru Server, the hostname configured clients greatly simplify network administration. Distributed as virtual machine appliance (.ova) for use with VirtualBox or VMWare Server. (both free to download and use)
