Error Codes, Warnings, and Hangs - Their Possible Causes

This document is meant primarily to log warnings and error codes that are sometimes encountered by the customer and their possible causes. Some compile hang ups may are also logged here.

Warnings and Errors:

Float Overflow

Instrument is Missing

"Invalid key/system ID is missing" (Guru)

Port Not Set to Receive

"RI Guru System Error-Invalid key/system
ID is missing"

The plug-n-play did not detect the hardware in the right
sequence at boot. This is OK,because the Guru system will check it again when you press OK and the Guru System will start without any problems.

No Warning Hangs:

Compile Hang with GPIB Generic Instrument

Test Plan compile hangs when GPIB generic instrument is active.

Check to make sure the instrument has its own unique
address.
