Carrier Board
How do I know I have a passive carrier?
The physical board as fabricated for the ACTIVE and PASSIVE carrier boards is the same. The difference is the amount of electronic circuitry that is actually loaded at the time of assembly.
Some clues to look for:

Current
How much current will the Cbits handle? - The Cbits can individually sink 100 mA and all 8 Cbits can sink 500 mA total.
How much current will the various fixture power supplies source?
Supply Max
+5V: 0.5A
+12V: 0.5A
-5V: 0.5A
-12V: 0.5A
The total current from the +5/+12/-5/-12V supplies must not exceed 1.0A
+28V: 1.0A
How much current does my fixture module consume?

Dut Boards
How durable are our DUT/DIB boards?
The boards we make have a life of 20 to 30 million parts typically ( most of our experience is using Johnstec).
The plating has a huge impact. If its 50% of spec the life can be as little as 100K.
So we have each batch analyzed to guarantee plating thickness.

Fixture Modules
- What is the speed of the HS Digital fixture module - RIK0127A? Currently 80MHz depending on mode of operation.
Pedestal and Pedestal Support
We found that certain measurements were better using an insulating plastic. Some measurements, especially low power,
were affected by the metal pedestal. When the change was made to plastic we found that low level tests were more stable.
The plastic we use is 100% nonconductive. It is PEEK a very stable and strong material.
- What is the Pedestal Support?
It is the standardized aluminum piece that encloses the bottom side of the DIB or DUT board. - What is the Pedestal?
It is the plastic piece (PEEK) that supports the DUT during handler operations. It is a custom machined part
for the device. - Why a plastic pedestal?
We used to make the pedestals out of Aluminum, 6061-T6 with clear alodine finish.
