The RI ATE System is a mult-user system running on an embedded operating system based on eComStation (current version of IBM OS/2). Regular administrative tasks include installing RI System Software patches and using Guru to manage and restore software objects (files). The administrator manages users and system settings. The developer controls the Test Executive and defines handler bins that are appropriate for the production line. Regular maintenance is recommended to assure continued operation and maintain a high mean time between failures (MTBF).
