You cannot place PreMeasure and PostMeasure group buttons in the test plan Global Default panel or in test plan Section Default panels. PreMeasures and PostMeasure group buttons are allowed only in test panels and test state panels.

Inheritance of PreMeasures and PostMeasures works on a group basis. Individual PreMeasures and PostMeasures are not inherited; instead the entire set of PreMeasures or PostMeasures are overriden as a set. For example, if a test state panel has a PreMeasure group button with several instrument settings and a subsequent test panel has a PreMeasure goup button with only a single instrument setting, none of the PreMeasure settings from the test state panel will be inherited.
