If one of the SRC 1&2 Output Module mechanical relays is failing it must be replaced.

The following is the replacement procedure:

1) Turn off the system power, remove the small phillips head screws from the front cover of the System RF Matrix.

2) Carefully disconnect any RF cables from the front and back of the module labeling each one as it is removed with tape along with the AC power cord, if applicable. Then remove the small screws that hold the module in the rack and slide the module out the rear of the rack.

3) Locate the failed switch and carefully disconnect all of the cables labeling each one as it is removed with tape. Remove the mounting screws and lift it out of the Module.

4) Insert a replacement relay in place of the removed unit.

5) Carefully reassemble the RF cable connectors and secure the relay by replacing its screws.
NOTE: Be careful when connecting the SMA end of the cable to the same point it was removed from. Utilize two wrenches, one to tighten the connector and the other to hold the small internal connector collar right where the cable enters the connector body.

6) Disconnect the DC cable going to the old switch and attach the new DC connector.

7) Slide the module in the rear of the rack being careful to align the module in the plastic guide rails.

8) Carefully reassemble the RF cables and secure the module by replacing its screws.
NOTE: Be careful when connecting the SMA end of the cable to the same point it was removed from. Utilize two wrenches, one to tighten the connector and the other to hold the small internal connector collar right where the cable enters the connector body.

9) Install the front cover of the System RF Matrix and secure it by replacing its screws.

10) Connect the power and perform the "System Startup" procedure. Run the appropriate diagnostic routine to check the integrity of the new switch.
