Intentionally shorted pins (listed in bold)
- VI RTN - Pins 32, 37, 48
- VI 1 - Pins 31 and 47
To retrofit the -5V and +5V
- Locate unattached wires closest to pin 50. There should be 10 connected and tie-wrapped together.
- Cut the tie wrap and separate the black and white wires from the rest.
- Route the black and white wires over to the SPDT side of the fixture.
- Attach the black wire to the +5V (pin 7) of the switch connector (not header) by using the special amps tool.
- Attach the white wire in the same manner to pin 2 of the connector. This will attach it to -5V.
To retrofit to older tester configurations (Gen I and II)
- If the tester has an I_Drive capability (older tester) and the fixture is of new vintage then the I_Drive pin is grounded by the fixture. Clip Pin#32 on header#1 on the fixture bottom board.
