Use the following steps to setup the ELO touch display:
1. check the BIOS setting to make sure the serial port is enabled.
- reboot the system controller; during the Intel BIOS boot screen press "F2" key
- go to the Advance tab and make sure the serial port is enabled, as shown here
- then save and restart the system.
ASRock based EPCs: Serial Port Address [3F8 / RIQ4]
2. After the system is re-booted, check and make sure you have a C:\ELO directory and its not empty. If it is missing unzip the attached file, ELO.ZIP, in the C:\ directory.
As an example here, ELO.zip is on an USB flash disk mounted as drive F:
open an OS/2 command window and type "unzip f:elo", as shown here
3. Edit the config.sys, by type "e c:\config.sys" as shown here
4. look for the line with AMOUSE.SYS and "REM" it out and copy the following lines below it.
For ArcaOS:
REM DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\AMOUSE.SYS
DEVICE=C:\ELO\MONMOU01.SYS 2310,1,9600 -s- -c10,4024,4130,119,1,255 -m6 -b-
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\AMOUSE.SYS STYPE=ELOMOU$
For eCS (eComStation):
REM DEVICE=C:\ECS\SYSTEM\AMouse\AMOUSE.SYS SMP
DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\POINTDD.SYS
DEVICE=C:\ELO\MONMOU01.SYS 2310,1,9600 -s- -c10,4024,4130,119,1,255 -m6 -b-
REM DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\MOUSE.SYS STYPE=ELOMOU$
DEVICE=C:\ECS\SYSTEM\AMouse\AMOUSE.SYS STYPE=ELOMOU$ SMP
There is a copy of this in the C:\ELO\config.elo file for your convenience. The config.sys should look something like this.
5. Save the config.sys file, then re-boot the system controller.
6. Reboot and Calibrate touch screen. (Serial Self teset = pass during startup) Auto Adjust (2nd button on right side of screen).
C:\ELO\ELOCAL2., click CALIBRATE >>>, follow on screen instructions (touching target)
