Error Codes, Warnings, and Hangs - Their Possible Causes

This document is meant primarily to log warnings and error codes that are sometimes encountered by the customer and their possible causes. Some compile hang ups may are also logged here.

Warnings and Errors:

Float Overflow

Instrument is Missing

"Invalid key/system ID is missing" (Guru)

Invalid Patch File

Key is Missing

Logfile Prefix

PC Boots

Port Not Set to Receive

Key is Missing

Fixture Related₂

Sometimes if cal data is bad, it can cause this error. Please
check the tester/fixture cals to see if there is data in the
fixture that is not good.
Check to make sure test buttons in test plan match path calls for the tester/fixture. This is especially is true of test plans copied from
other devices/fixture types.

No Warning Hangs:

Compile Hang with GPIB Generic Instrument

Test Plan compile hangs when GPIB generic instrument is active.

Check to make sure the instrument has its own unique
address.
